EASYWAY TO UNDERSTAND AND BUILD AN ONLINE FORM USING GOOGLE FORM.
Google form is an online form used for the purpose of collecting or gathering data for various reasons anyone can use it.
It is very easy to design. I mean you don't need to be a programmer or computer genius to design a google form. If you can read and apply instructions then you're good to good. Though free there is one disadvantage with as become an advantage to those forms which requires you to subscribe.
You will get to know this demerit as we continue.
By now, you should have a gmail account if not........ get one.
for easy quick access use https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive.
or if you're already within Google compound, then click on the button as shown in the image below
Next click Drive as shown below
To create a Google Form, click on NEW or My Drive as shown on the below image.
If you cant find it on the list, click MORE which can be found when you click on My Drive.
Click Google Form and you will be taken to Form design as shown below
This is where the design will take place. you can see in the above image. It is not complicated.
Change the untitle form to A SUITABLE TITLE (that defines your content)

If you observe the image well, you will see
UNTITLED QUESTION beside it you will see MULTIPLE CHOI CE (it has a dropdown just beside it)
There is a toolbar in horizontal position. This, you will make use of through out and also the dropdown menu.
To design, you will need to click on the plus sign+ at the tool bar. This will give you a default design. that is, you will see untitled question and multiple choice.
EXAMPLE 1
To ask for Full Name in your form, change the untitled question to Full name
then click on the dropdown beside multiple choice. select Short answer.
You can activate required to make it compulsory for anyone filling the form to add there name.
Example 2.
Click on the plus sign+ again to add another question.
Maybe you wnat to know there gender, change the untitled question to Gender
now click on the dropdown to select multiple choice. you can use Multiple choice to know there gender or whatever you wish to know. (in multiple choice they can only choose one option)
Example 3.
Click on the plus sign again for another question. Depending on what you want. The check box can allow user to select different things at the same time. see Example below.
To have different option, change the default option to what to want
Always remember to activate required button
you can also add Section which can can be used to
seperate contents. for example you want to get Personal information.
click on the plus sign and select the last option on the tools bar.
your form will be divided into two.
One demerit of google form is that users (those filling the form) cannot attach file such as image.
Another thing of note is that you will not see SUBMIT BUTTON on these process
except you get the form link and view with another browser. if you try to view on the same browser, google will take to to edit form except you sign out.
